Kami Alaniz, a Registered Nurse with more than 33 years of experience, has significantly expanded Just Brooke, LLC from its initial vision into a fully realized company. When she first introduced Helping People Like Me Ministry in 2025, much of the larger plan was still taking shape. Now, Alaniz says she can show the public what she previously could only describe. "Back then, I was telling you what I hoped Just Brooke could become," Alaniz says. "Today, I can show you."
The company now includes Helping People Like Me Ministry — A Just Brooke Kingdom Initiative, the faith-centered mission, and Just Brooke Productions, the publishing and production brand. Her books are being published and sold on Amazon, with additional titles in development. The expanded website, www.JustBrooke.net, brings together her books, coaching, courses, classes, ministry and media.
A central idea connecting the work is Alaniz's R3B Empowerment Method™: Remove Blocks, Reset, Rediscover Yourself, and Build Your Dream Life. The method draws on her own experiences. "I understand what it is like to work, take care of everyone else, keep going when you are exhausted, experience hurt and disappointment, and still know somewhere inside that God has more for your life," she says. Alaniz continued working as a traveling nurse while building Just Brooke, which kept her close to patients, families and healthcare professionals facing challenges beyond medical charts.
That perspective informs her newest media venture, APPROVED or DENIED: Decoding Medicare, Medicaid, & Beyond — For Professionals, Patients & Providers. The weekly podcast airs Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. Central and draws on her nursing background to explore healthcare decisions and the broader issues surrounding them. "Healthcare is not one-dimensional, and neither are people," Alaniz says. The program is beginning to feature guests from various professional backgrounds, and each episode includes a Book of the Week. Just Brooke Productions has also launched Across the Table with Kami, a short-form video series covering healthcare, books, faith and other topics.
The growing media presence is opening another direction: speaking. Alaniz aims to address healthcare professionals, patients and families on subjects such as Medicare and navigating difficult healthcare decisions, as well as churches, conferences and community organizations on burnout, forgiveness, faith, purpose and moving forward after difficult seasons. "I especially want to reach the person who is exhausted, overwhelmed, hurting, or wondering whether it is too late to change their life," she says. Her books, classes, coaching and educational programs provide ways for people to continue that work after an initial conversation.
Alaniz expects continued growth across Just Brooke Productions, publishing, podcast and speaking, but she remains tied to the original mission of Helping People Like Me Ministry: reaching those who have spent years caring for others and may now find themselves exhausted, hurting or unsure about their next chapter. "When I look back at where I was when I started and compare it with where we are today, it is pretty incredible," she says. For more information, visit Kami Alaniz or Just Brooke Productions.
