King Global Ventures Inc. (CSE: KING) (OTCQB: KGLDF) (FSE: 5LM1) is progressing its exploration activities at the Black Canyon/Silver Cord project near Cleator, Arizona, against a backdrop of renewed U.S. federal focus on domestic mining workforce capacity and critical mineral supply chains. The company is currently executing a 14,000-foot diamond drill program at the Iron Horse target, designed to test priority geophysical anomalies for potential volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization within the Lower Spud Mountain Formation.
Recent drilling, geological work, and XRF interpretation have identified prospective volcanic stratigraphy, hydrothermal alteration, feeder-style geochemical responses, and multiple marker horizons. The company is also utilizing wedge drilling from hole IH-26-03 to further evaluate the target at depth. These efforts follow previous drilling at Silver Cord, completed in December 2025, which intersected high-grade polymetallic veins containing silver, gold, lead, zinc, and antimony. One notable intercept returned 9 feet grading 619.6 g/t silver, 1.0 g/t gold, 0.6% lead, 1.05% zinc, and 375 g/t antimony.
The exploration campaign comes as the U.S. government underscores the importance of bolstering the domestic mining sector. An Aug. 7, 2026, White House announcement outlined $100 million in funding for 14 U.S. mining schools as part of more than $2 billion in new mining and mining-related investments, including over $180 million dedicated to mining school and workforce development. King Global Ventures views this policy environment as supportive for domestic exploration companies targeting strategic minerals such as antimony, a critical component in various industrial and defense applications.
The Black Canyon Project, situated in Yavapai County, Arizona, comprises 213 contiguous concessions covering approximately 4,000 acres and includes 15 former operating mines, such as the past-producing Howard Copper Mine. Located about 100 kilometers north of Phoenix, the project represents an early-stage exploration opportunity targeting copper-gold-silver-zinc VMS mineralization. The region's geology is notable for hosting diverse base and precious metal deposit types, with a significant history of mining operations, including Bagdad, Jerome, and Cleopatra. The property is on trend and approximately 13 kilometers northwest of Arizona Metals Corp. (T:AMC).
The Howard Copper Mine Property, on 78 acres of patented land, was discovered in the early 1920s and saw small-scale production focused on high-grade copper. Historical reports indicate the main shaft reached the 900-foot level, though ore was not mined below the 500-foot level.
In addition to its Arizona assets, King Global Ventures holds the Mikwam Gold Property in Noseworthy Township within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of northeastern Ontario. This property lies along the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone, which also hosts Detour Gold's Burntbush Property. The Mikwam deposit is hosted in Timiskaming-aged polymictic conglomerate and greywacke units, with gold mineralization associated with quartz-carbonate veins and pyrite.
