Penn State football's popular pregame show, "Nittany Game Week," is set to return for its sixth season, boasting an expanded reach that now spans eight states and includes a new broadcast partner. The show, which features former Nittany Lions coaches Tom Bradley and Jay Paterno, along with host Todd Sadowski, will be available to more than 24 million viewers across Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Virginia.
This season, FOX 29 Philadelphia joins the Nittany Game Week Network, enhancing the show's presence in a major market. Additionally, the program will be featured on Reach TV in 90 U.S. airports, including 48 of the top 50, from JFK to LAX, ensuring Penn State fans can catch the show while traveling.
The show has evolved into a year-round destination for Nittany Lions supporters, offering exclusive scouting reports, "Impact Interviews," fan questions, and game-day photo submissions. It continues to air through May, covering the entire spectrum of Penn State athletics, not just football.
"We give Nittany Lions fans the kind of insight you can't get anywhere else," said Jay Paterno. "Tom and I bring decades of experience, our guests bring unique perspectives, and with Todd, we're able to preview the game while telling the stories that make Penn State athletics so special, from football in the fall to the entire spectrum of Nittany Lions athletics throughout the year."
The broadcast schedule kicks off on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, with multiple airings across the region. Friday slots include 6:30 p.m. on FOX43 WPMT in York/Harrisburg/Lancaster, PA, and 10:00 p.m. on DelMarVa Sports Network in Salisbury, MD. The schedule also includes 11:00 a.m. on DelMarVa Sports Network and 11:30 a.m. on ABC 16 WNEP and ABC 23 WWCP. Episodes and additional content are available online via the show's YouTube channel and digital platforms.
The show's hosts bring a wealth of experience. Tom Bradley, captain of Penn State's 1978 team, has coached more games for the Nittany Lions than anyone except Joe Paterno. He was named AP Defensive Coordinator of the Year in 2005 and inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2021. Jay Paterno, with over 20 years of college coaching experience including 17 at Penn State, led top-ranked recruiting classes and coached two Big Ten MVPs. Todd Sadowski has been a staple in Pennsylvania sports media for over two decades, anchoring coverage at FOX43 since 2000.
Jay Paterno also continues to contribute to the broader sports conversation through his latest book, "BLITZED! The All-Out Pressure of College Football's New Era," which examines challenges facing today's coaches, from NIL deals to mental health. His insights are shared through his website, JayVPaterno.com, and his online press kit at JayPaterno.OnlinePresskit247.com.
