Swiss Watch Gallery & Fine Jewelry is highlighting a significant update to the OMEGA Speedmaster 38 mm collection, which now includes seven newly revealed references. The refresh introduces subtle design refinements and fresh color variations that align the smaller Speedmaster more closely with the legendary Moonwatch than ever before.
The most noticeable changes sharpen the collection's sporty character. Previous oval subdials have been replaced with classic rounded subdials, and a streamlined dial layout reduces wording for a cleaner appearance. The bezels also return to a bolder, thicker profile that incorporates the essential Dot-Over-Ninety element, a hallmark of Moonwatch heritage. Each new model is presented on a five-link Moonwatch-style bracelet with either polished or brushed central links, depending on the reference.
Inside, the new models are powered by two self-winding Co-Axial movements. The Calibre 3330 drives six references equipped with date functions, while the exclusive Calibre 3332 powers the seventh reference, a Black Dial model with a clean, no-date design.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, said, "The Speedmaster 38 mm has always taken its cues from the Moonwatch, while keeping size, color, and simplicity in mind. With this latest update, we've taken the Moonwatch inspiration even further, helping to enrich the Speedmaster DNA while still retaining the refined and unique nature that the 38 mm range is known for."
The collection offers a diverse array of materials and finishes. Among the steel-on-steel offerings, the Black Dial model aligns most directly with the signature Moonwatch aesthetic, featuring a black aluminum bezel, a black varnished dial with a matt finish, hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova, and a bracelet with alternating brushed and polished links. The White Dial reference features a blue ceramic bezel with a white enamel tachymeter scale and hands and indexes with a blue CVD coating. A Silvery Dial model rounds out the steel selection with a warm grey aluminum bezel and opaline silvery PVD dial paired with Sedna™ Gold PVD accents.
For bicolor designs, the Silvery Opaline Dial reference combines stainless steel with a polished 18K Moonshine™ Gold bezel, green aluminum ring, and yellow gold tachymeter scale. The Ivory Dial model builds on the signature "cappuccino" style, pairing an ivory main dial with contrasting brown PVD subdials and an 18K Sedna™ Gold bezel. Additionally, two diamond-set bezel references bring extra sparkle to the range, offering 52 diamonds totaling 1.53 carats paired with either an ice blue PVD dial or a white mother-of-pearl dial.

The update matters because it reinforces the Speedmaster 38 mm's position as an entry point to the iconic Moonwatch lineage while offering a more compact and colorful alternative. For collectors, the closer design ties may increase the appeal of the 38 mm range, and the variety of materials and finishes—from steel to gold and diamond-set bezels—broadens its reach across different tastes and budgets. The availability at Swiss Watch Gallery & Fine Jewelry gives Southern California watch buyers direct access to the refreshed collection.
