OmniPhi has announced a strategic partnership with Beeks Financial Cloud Group plc (AIM: BKS) that includes a strategic minority investment in OmniPhi by Beeks. Together, the companies are launching Beeks Sovereign AI, described as the first end-to-end agentic AI platform purpose-built for capital markets. The solution runs entirely on infrastructure owned and controlled by the client institution, bringing OmniPhi’s Agentic Integrated Trading Environment from self-directed traders to the banks, hedge funds, brokers and exchanges that Beeks already serves.
The core problem the partnership addresses is data sovereignty. Capital markets firms want AI agents working on their data, but most cannot send that data out to public AI platforms, where every prompt and line of code is processed in the provider’s cloud. For a regulated institution, that data is the business. According to the Bank of England and Financial Conduct Authority’s 2024 survey of UK financial firms, data protection and privacy ranked as the single largest regulatory constraint on AI use. An LSEG survey of 453 financial services executives found that 84% have already changed their cloud strategies because of data privacy, security and sovereignty rules. Gartner forecasts worldwide spending on sovereign cloud infrastructure will reach $80 billion in 2026, up 35.6% in a year.
Beeks Sovereign AI flips the model by bringing the agents to the data instead of sending the data to the agents. OmniPhi supplies Phi, its proprietary agentic harness and intelligence layer that orchestrates AI agents across research, strategy, risk and execution. Beeks supplies GPU-enabled Beeks Proximity Cloud® infrastructure, deployed in colocation or directly on a customer’s own site and managed end to end. The infrastructure is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, with a SOC 2 Type II report for Proximity Cloud.
“Partnering with Beeks gives institutions the complete picture: the most capable agentic AI harness in financial markets, running on exchange-grade infrastructure that never lets their data leave their environment,” said Pouya Farmand, Co-Founder and President of OmniPhi. “The productivity gains available to institutions that can deploy this properly are significant, and we are excited to be delivering that alongside Beeks.”
The platform promises data sovereignty, fully managed infrastructure, and a path from research to live trading. Phi, the master agent, coordinates teams of specialised agents that research, write readable code, backtest and report. Quant teams can deploy strategies that pass to trade live through their own brokers and order systems. Firms can also add Phi’s agents to existing tools, from an OMS panel to in-house applications, connected to sources such as Bloomberg and Databento. Every agent has a named identity and works within a specific person’s entitlements; every action is logged, and no strategy goes live until a person approves it.
“Financial institutions have been watching the AI revolution from the sidelines, not because they don’t want to participate, but because public AI platforms simply do not meet their data sovereignty and regulatory requirements,” said Gordon McArthur, Chief Executive Officer of Beeks Group. “Beeks Sovereign AI changes that entirely. For the first time, institutions can deploy institutional-grade agentic AI on infrastructure they own and control, managed end to end, without any compromise on compliance or performance.”
Beeks’ platforms support more than 30 of the world’s largest financial institutions, and its Exchange Cloud® runs for eight exchanges. Beeks Sovereign AI will be available for deployment in colocation or on-premise across all asset classes and institution types, with launch set for the third quarter of Beeks’ 2027 financial year. Institutions can arrange a demo with the OmniPhi and Beeks teams at omniphi.tech.
For the industry, the launch signals a maturing approach to AI adoption in finance: one that prioritises control and compliance over raw capability. By keeping data inside the institution and placing human approval over every strategy, the partnership may accelerate AI deployment among firms that have so far stayed on the sidelines. As sovereign cloud spending surges, the ability to offer a turnkey, managed solution could position Beeks Financial Cloud Group plc and OmniPhi as early leaders in a market where trust is the ultimate currency.
