Salsa at Niagara Falls: New Festival Brings Latin Culture to Iconic Destination

The Canadian Salsa Festivals Project (CSFP) announced the inaugural Salsa at Niagara Falls, set for September 12-13, 2026, from noon to 10 PM, with nightly fireworks. Presented in partnership with Niagara Falls Tourism, Niagara Parks Commission, Fallsview Casino Resort, and TLN Media Group, the free festival will transform the Niagara River Parkway into a vibrant celebration of Latin culture, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Falls.

The event will feature a special appearance and free concert by salsa star Frankie Negrón on Sunday, September 13, at 8 PM. More than 300 performers will take the stage across two live entertainment areas, including Juno-nominated Andy Rubal headlining Saturday's lineup, along with award-winning Latin entertainers Yani Borrell and Aiona Santana. Attendees can participate in dedicated dance zones with non-stop lessons throughout the weekend at the Oakes Garden Theatre, with world-class dance performances and interactive sessions led by local and international dance schools, including MOVIEmiento Latin Dance Studio and Fanny Olaya from Buffalo. A vibrant marketplace will offer authentic Latin cuisine and specialty vendors, while nightly 10 PM fireworks displays will be choreographed to salsa music over the Falls.

This landmark event marks the newest stop in the CSFP tour, which has been bringing communities together for over two decades through music, dance, food, and cultural celebration. The festival aims to build on the success of the annual TD Salsa in Toronto Festival, Canada's largest celebration of Latin arts, music, and culture, and extends the project's reach to one of Canada's most visited destinations. Niagara Falls attracts millions of visitors annually, and the festival is expected to draw both local residents and tourists, offering a unique fusion of natural wonder and cultural expression.

The partnership underscores the significance of this event for the region. Niagara Falls Tourism and the Niagara Parks Commission are collaborating to ensure the festival enhances the visitor experience while preserving the natural environment. Fallsview Casino Resort, an award-winning resort overlooking the Horseshoe Falls, will serve as a key venue partner. TLN Media Group, celebrating over 40 years of multicultural programming, brings its expertise in producing cultural events, including the popular Salsa on St. Clair festival in Toronto.

Salsa at Niagara Falls is designed to be inclusive, welcoming seasoned dancers and newcomers alike. It provides an opportunity for cultural exchange, promoting Latin heritage and fostering appreciation for diverse traditions. The festival's free admission aligns with the CSFP's mandate to elevate public participation in Canada's multicultural tapestry.

For those interested in attending, more information is available at salsaatniagarafalls.com. Updates will also be shared on social media at @salsaintoronto. The event promises an unforgettable weekend, combining world-class entertainment with the majestic beauty of one of the world's most iconic natural wonders.

This expansion represents a significant milestone for the CSFP, potentially positioning Salsa at Niagara Falls as a major annual event that boosts tourism and cultural engagement in the region. It also highlights the growing popularity of Latin music and dance in Canada, and the importance of cultural festivals in enriching communities and driving economic activity.
