VinFast and GSM, two key companies within the Vingroup ecosystem, have announced significant leadership changes effective immediately. Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, currently Chairman of VinFast Global, will concurrently assume the role of CEO of VinFast Global, succeeding Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong. He will also take on the positions of Chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam. At GSM, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, currently CEO of GSM Global, has been appointed Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Ms. Pham Thu Huong. Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will succeed Mr. Tuan as CEO of GSM Global and concurrently serve as CEO of GSM Vietnam.
The leadership transitions come as Vingroup and its companies accelerate the development of in-house talent and transition responsibilities to a younger generation of leaders, aligning with the system's growth trajectory. Both VinFast and GSM are entering a period of strong and decisive global growth. VinFast currently operates in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, with manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. GSM operates its green mobility brand, Green SM, in seven countries—Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, and Denmark—and plans to expand into at least three additional markets this year. GSM also aims to become a globally scaled public company with shares listed on an international stock exchange.
Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, born in 1993, holds a Bachelor's degree from Singapore Management University and has held key leadership positions at VinFast and other Vingroup companies. He was appointed Chairman of VinFast Global in May 2026. In his new role, he will have ultimate responsibility for all VinFast operations. In a statement, he said: "I am deeply honored by the Board of Directors' trust and confidence in entrusting me with the additional responsibility. Built on a strong foundation established over the years and supported by the growing confidence of customers across our markets, VinFast is well positioned to seize the significant opportunities ahead and further strengthen its role in advancing the global transition to sustainable mobility." In addition to his VinFast duties, he will continue as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC.
Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, born in 2000, has held senior positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, GSM, and other companies. He has also invested in and serves as a major shareholder of several industrial, technology, energy, and infrastructure companies within the Vingroup ecosystem, including VinSpeed, VinEnergo, VinMetal, VinVentures, and robotics companies.
The appointments are of particular importance as they address the demanding requirements of the companies' next development phase and reflect positive expectations for VinFast and GSM as they continue expanding into international markets. For readers, these changes signal a strategic commitment to sustained growth and innovation in the electric vehicle and green mobility sectors, with potential implications for global market competition and the transition to sustainable transportation.
