As Americans navigate a growing array of weight management approaches, Wolfson Group, a Scotland-based international consumer wellness company, is drawing attention to the role of nutrition, physical activity, and non-prescription wellness products in the broader marketplace. The company’s comments come as new data show rapid adoption of prescription GLP-1 medications, which is altering the weight management landscape.
According to a June 2026 report from PwC, 21% of U.S. households included a current GLP-1 user as of May 2026, up from 9% in January 2025. That surge in prescription use has brought renewed attention to weight management nationwide, but Wolfson Group emphasizes that consumers continue to encounter a diverse range of products, services, and lifestyle approaches beyond medication.
“The weight management market is evolving, and consumers have more choices than ever before,” said the founder and CEO of Wolfson Group. “Prescription medications have become an important part of the conversation, but nutrition, physical activity and everyday lifestyle habits remain central to how people think about managing their weight. Our focus is on serving consumers in the non-prescription wellness market.”
Wolfson Group participates in that category through PhenQ, its established consumer wellness brand, which is available to U.S. consumers through Amazon and, more recently, OneLavi.com. The company stresses that PhenQ is a non-prescription product and should not be viewed as a substitute for prescribed medical treatments.
The growing visibility of GLP-1 medications has also created opportunities for greater consumer education, according to Wolfson Group. The company believes clear information about the different categories of products and services available, their intended purposes, and the importance of informed decisions is essential. As part of that effort, Wolfson Group is expanding U.S. distribution for PhenQ through additional online retail channels, reflecting a broader strategy to develop multiple distribution points for its wellness brands.
“We believe there is an important place in the market for non-prescription wellness products that consumers can incorporate into their everyday routines,” the founder said. “Our goal is to make brands like PhenQ more accessible while continuing to emphasize consumer education and responsible product communication.”
Wolfson Group’s portfolio extends beyond weight management to cognitive wellness, gut health, and men’s wellbeing, with brands such as TestoPrime, NooCube, and YourBiology. The company said it will continue investing in consumer education, science-led brand development, and expanded U.S. distribution following its participation in the September ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
For readers, the announcement signals that the weight management market is becoming more segmented, with prescription and non-prescription options coexisting. As GLP-1 use rises, consumers may face more choices—and more need for clear, responsible information about how different products fit into a holistic approach to health.
