WPG Homebuyers Share Motivations and Experiences in New Home Purchases

Woodbridge Pacific Group (WPG), a privately held developer and homebuilder, has released insights into what motivates new-home shoppers to become buyers, based on testimonials from recent purchasers across its communities. The company emphasizes that peace of mind, high-quality construction, and attentive customer service are critical factors in the decision-making process.

Buyers cited various reasons for seeking a new home, including needing more space, better space, relocating, upgrading their environment, or downsizing. For example, a family from Bakersfield said they felt the need for more space as their children grew and ultimately chose a WPG home because "everything we wanted in a home, neighborhood and community was right here." They praised the company's quality and reputation.

An empty-nester couple who moved from Rancho Santa Fe to WPG's Monterra community in La Quinta highlighted the appeal of downsizing while maintaining quality. They noted that the home's design, including a casita for guests, was exactly what they sought. "It's the house people like us are looking for today," the wife said. Another couple who built four custom homes found Monterra's architectural detail and quality "extraordinary."

In Idaho, a couple who purchased a home at Bald Eagle Point appreciated the cleanliness of the build site and the responsiveness of WPG's team. "With this company, someone actually calls back!" they said. The home was ready on time, and the walkthrough was thorough, with the customer service representative providing all necessary information.

A couple moving from the Bay Area to WPG's Nova community in Palm Desert valued the walkable environment and proximity to amenities such as hiking trails and Joshua Tree. "This location will only get better as it matures," the wife said. A single professional at Nova noted the yard size and neighborhood atmosphere, saying, "I finally found a place that I truly love."

The importance of auxiliary spaces like ADUs and casitas was also underscored. One Nova buyer mentioned using an ADU as a low-cost rental, calling it a "win/win." Another couple highlighted the casita plan for aging parents, providing independent living while maintaining proximity.

WPG's design centers allow buyers to personalize choices, including cabinetry, floor coverings, and lighting. Buyers praised the selection and guidance received. "We loved the choices we had, and the help we received," said one wife.

Community amenities are a key draw. At Bald Eagle Point, the Perch offers a pool, pickleball court, playground, and fire pits. In Bakersfield's Belcourt, the Belcourt Center Club features a resort-style pool, fitness center, and billiards room. University Park's The Grove includes resort pools, a fitness center, and pickleball court. These amenities, along with nearby parks and strong school districts, contribute to the appeal.

Financing assistance from U.S. Bank, WPG's preferred lender, was also highlighted. Jeff Weirsma and his team helped buyers understand financing options and incentives. One buyer said, "Jeff Wiersma showed us what our money could buy, and how to make it happen." Another added that the process went "as smooth as silk."

Customer service received high marks. A Nova buyer noted that the sales representative "went the extra mile" and that customer service was "spectacular" through move-in and beyond. WPG's commitment to quality and responsiveness was a recurring theme.

WPG has earned numerous honors for design and planning excellence. For more information, visit www.woodbridgepacific.com.
