Wuzhen Summit Highlights Tongxiang's AI Commercialization Drive

The 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit is set to open on Nov. 2, bringing technology leaders, researchers and companies to the historic water town of Tongxiang, China. For Tongxiang, long associated with the annual internet conference, the summit serves as a platform to demonstrate how local companies are commercializing artificial intelligence technologies for customers at home and abroad. Ahead of the event, reporters visited seven Tongxiang-based companies working in robotics, intelligent vehicles, synthetic data, industrial automation, logistics and computing infrastructure, according to Media OutReach Newswire.

Among the standout firms is CenoBots, a Tongxiang-based company whose commercial cleaning robots are used in airports, supermarkets, hospitals, factories and warehouses. Singapore Changi Airport earlier this year placed its fourth order for CenoBots' machines. The company has sold products in more than 40 countries and regions, with customers including Changi Airport, British retailer Tesco, the University of Minnesota and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk. This year, CenoBots supplied about 600 autonomous cleaning robots for Tesco Express stores across the United Kingdom. Co-founder and vice president Shen Jizhong compared the trend to electric vehicles becoming a familiar sight on roads. The company has expanded its research, development and production facilities in Tongxiang from approximately 3,000 square meters in its early years to more than 20,000 square meters, using local malls, hospitals and sports venues as long-term testing sites.

TEEMO is developing vehicle platforms that support autonomous mobility, making drive-by-wire skateboard chassis and core components for autonomous vehicles used in last-mile delivery, patrols and logistics. Its standardized chassis can be equipped with different vehicle bodies and hardware for specific uses. One strategic customer, autonomous delivery-vehicle maker Zelos, was selected for all lots in China Post's centralized procurement program for 7,000 autonomous delivery vehicles. TEEMO's customers span the United States, the Middle East, India and Russia, and director of operations Zhang Yongjian said overseas business will become an important growth driver.

Other Tongxiang companies are concentrating on data and perception systems. Dayan Technology, founded in Tongxiang in May 2025, provides synthetic-data and toolchain services for autonomous-driving and humanoid-robotics companies, combining real-world data collection, digital twins and simulated training environments. Its wearable devices, including a haptic glove and multi-camera headset, record human movement and interactions to help robots learn how firmly to grip items and apply force without damage. Freetech develops intelligent-driving systems and 4D imaging radar for passenger and commercial vehicles, with technology selected for hundreds of vehicle programs. Its ODIN AI platform supports different levels of driving automation, and an in-house AI production system at its Wuzhen base has increased overall efficiency by more than 20%.

Beyond mobility, Shuhan Technologies provides on-premises industrial AI for chemical plants, energy facilities and wastewater-treatment systems. At a coal chemical plant with annual capacity of 1.2 million metric tons, Shuhan said its system reduced raw-material consumption by 6%, generating more than 176 million yuan, or about $26 million, in annualized economic benefits and reducing carbon emissions by more than 500,000 metric tons. SENAD targets logistics bottlenecks with autonomous loading and unloading robots and a multimodal logistics model called Robot Insight, serving sectors including beverages, tobacco, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and logistics.

Tongxiang's AI sector also includes SynthCool, which develops two-phase liquid-cooling systems to address heat generated by increasingly powerful processors. According to SynthCool, its technology supports heat dissipation of more than 3,000 watts per chip and heat flux above 250 watts per square centimeter, while requiring approximately one-third of the flow needed by conventional single-phase water-cooled cold plates. General manager Zhu Zhijiang said heat dissipation is infrastructure, underscoring how cooling has become a critical constraint for AI data centers.

The breadth of these companies illustrates how Tongxiang is moving beyond its conference-hosting role to build a diversified AI economy. For readers, the summit offers a window into how AI is being commercialized across industries—from airport cleaning and parcel delivery to industrial control and data-center cooling—with implications for global supply chains, energy efficiency and the adoption of autonomous systems.
