Angkor Resources Uncovers Promising Copper-Gold Mineralization Targets in Cambodia

Summary

A ground magnetic survey at the Andong Bor license reveals significant potential for copper-gold mineralization, with Zone C identified as the highest priority drilling target based on magnetic and geochemical data analysis.

Angkor Resources has reported promising results from a ground magnetic survey at its Andong Bor copper-gold license in Cambodia, identifying multiple high-potential zones for future exploration and drilling.

The survey, conducted in early 2025, analyzed 49 survey lines spanning between 2,200 and 2,700 meters, with data collected every 1.5 to 2.5 meters. The technical team discovered magnetic anomalies that closely correlate with existing geochemical data, suggesting significant mineralization potential.

Zone C emerged as the primary exploration target, featuring a ring-like geological structure with magnetic features modeled near previously drilled holes ADBDDH16-005, 007, and 008. These magnetic features are estimated to be 300 to 500 meters in area and range from 100 to 150 meters in depth.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration for Angkor, highlighted the survey's significance, noting that the magnetic data matches geochemical findings and could help identify additional mineralization zones. The company's analysis indicates that the wall rocks adjacent to intrusions contain abundant secondary magnetite, further supporting potential mineral deposits.

Secondary targets include Zone A2, which presents coincident magnetic and geochemical features that warrant additional drilling investigations. The survey also revealed variations in magnetic responses across different zones, with some areas showing complex fault-disrupted structures and others displaying more rounded outlines.

Angkor holds a 20% carried interest in the license, with its Canadian partner CanBodia Copper Corp. funding exploration activities. The magnetic survey results represent a critical step toward potentially discovering a significant copper-gold resource in Cambodia.
