Troy University has selected TheLinkU, a leading NIL platform, to manage and expand opportunities for its student-athletes. The partnership will provide comprehensive services across all 16 sports programs, offering tools to help athletes build personal brands and generate revenue.
The collaboration with Trojans Together Collective will transfer NIL operations to TheLinkU, which offers a suite of services including national brand partnerships, revenue sharing modeling, a NIL marketplace, personalized merchandise shops, and financial education resources.
TheLinkU's approach goes beyond traditional NIL support by creating strategic business partnerships that reduce donor dependency and generate sustainable revenue. The platform aims to help athletic departments achieve financial stability while empowering student-athletes to maximize their potential.
Troy University leadership views this partnership as a strategic move to enhance recruiting efforts and provide competitive advantages. Brent Jones, director of athletics, emphasized the importance of supporting teams in their pursuit of championships, while head football coach Gerad Parker noted the potential to create an attractive environment for recruits.
Founded by Austin Elrod, a former student-athlete, TheLinkU leverages firsthand experience to develop innovative NIL solutions. The platform works with colleges nationwide to simplify NIL management while protecting the interests of athletes, institutions, and businesses.
