Lucid Design District Announces 22 Artists for CHROMA 2025 Exhibition During Miami Art Week

Lucid Design District has announced the 22 artists selected for CHROMA 2025 – Vital Impulses in Contemporary Art, which will run from December 3 to 17, 2025, during Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach. Now in its fourth edition, the exhibition provides a platform for diverse artistic voices at Lucid Design District, located at 10 NE 41st Street in Miami. The opening reception is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

Curated by Graciela Montich, CHROMA 2025 features eight returning artists and fourteen new participants from around the world. This year's theme probes the instinctual drive behind artistic creation, inviting audiences to consider how art channels resilience, sustainability, and shared humanity across borders. Montich states, "We have sought works that provoke reflection, awaken emotion, and spark dialogue between artist and audience. The 2025 selection exemplifies the extraordinary range of impulses that define contemporary art today."

The participating artists include Cari Cohen from Miami, Carina Adur from Argentina, Debora Levy from San Diego, Graciela Durand Pauli from Argentina, curator Graciela Montich from Argentina, Gustavo Miranda from Miami, Heather Lynn from Bethesda, Kevin Fletcher from Miami, Mauro Arbiza from Uruguay, Miriam Marchese from Argentina, Monica Wallis from Miami, Mulata Von Kindy from Australia, Nadine Vogel from Folly Beach, Patricia Calero from Venezuela/Miami, Payal Tak from Miami, Robert Frankel from Chicago, Sandra de Souza from Peru/Miami, Sariah Sami Najam from Washington, D.C., Sebastian de la Paz from Ecuador/Miami, Shayla Manee from Falls Church, Vanessa Gilbert from Canada, and Dhilan Tak from Miami.

New voices in the exhibition include Vanessa Gilbert from Canada, whose minimalist sculptures made with recycled and sustainable materials merge human imagination with natural forms. Gilbert expresses excitement about participating: "Taking part in the CHROMA exhibition at Lucid Gallery, located in the heart of the Design District during Art Basel Miami, is truly a dream come true." Her practice invites reflection on consumption, renewal, and art's role in shaping a more conscious future.

Debora Levy from San Diego presents her Resilience series, expressive portraits that explore human vulnerability, perseverance, and strength. Levy notes, "I'm thrilled to be part of the CHROMA Art Exhibition in December, an inspiring showcase of bold, contemporary voices. This opportunity allows me to share my latest work with a wider audience and contribute to a vibrant dialogue around creativity, resilience, and artistic expression." Her paintings honor resilience as a universal language through layered textures and emotional depth.

Sebastian de la Paz from Ecuador/Miami contributes his Echoes of Expression series, inspired by Warhol and Lichtenstein. His bold canvases transform familiar hand gestures into striking visual statements, blending street art immediacy with pop iconography to interrogate how communication evolves in an increasingly digital age. Together, these artists highlight how resilience, sustainability, and visual language converge under the curatorial theme of Vital Impulses.

The exhibition offers free admission with RSVP and features walk-in visits during general hours, with the full schedule to be announced. Founded by Payal Tak in 2021, Lucid Design District has become a cornerstone of Miami's art scene, featuring eight solo-curio spaces, an expansive reception gallery, and an outdoor installation wall. The gallery continues to showcase artists' creations well beyond Art Week, making it a desirable platform for both emerging and established artists and providing art lovers opportunities to discover new talent.
