GRE Alpha Electronics will return to Light + Building 2026, held March 8–13 at Messe Frankfurt in Germany, with its most ambitious showcase to date. The company is expanding from participation within the EnOcean consortium to a dedicated booth in Hall 8.0, Booth G37, allowing for a more comprehensive presentation of its latest product developments and live demonstrations. Richard Fong, director at GRE Alpha, noted this move represents a significant turning point, providing the space to fully showcase the breadth of the company's innovation and offer a more focused experience for partners and customers.
A centerpiece of the showcase will be Lumifree, JDI's dynamic light-distribution control technology, featured in live demonstrations with Dauer's Lumifree-based Uplight and XK Glow's Lumifree-based light system. Fong emphasized the collaboration with JDI brings cutting-edge beam shaping technology to the forefront of the LED industry, integrating these advancements into GRE Alpha's power solutions to help redefine how light is shaped and experienced in modern architectural spaces.
The company will also debut a new 40W RFID/NFC driver, branded and distributed by partners at CDI, alongside the LUNA light switch—a battery-less, energy-harvesting Bluetooth rocker switch that enables wireless building integration without battery maintenance. Fong described the LUNA switch as a game-changer for building management, exemplifying the smart and sustainable solutions GRE Alpha is bringing to the trade fair. This aligns with broader industry trends toward reducing electronic waste and simplifying installation in smart buildings.
GRE Alpha will showcase one of the industry's widest arrays of smart control modules, featuring integrations with Casambi, EnOcean, DiiA, and Tuya, alongside additional products from its Japan and China-based lines. The full catalog is available here. Fong stated that the future of lighting is intelligent and interconnected, and these seamless integrations make smart lighting more accessible than ever. The expanded booth presence and product lineup signal GRE Alpha's growing influence in the lighting and building technology sector, potentially driving adoption of more efficient and customizable lighting solutions globally.
The implications of these announcements extend to integrators, OEMs, specifiers, and lighting partners worldwide, who can explore how these technologies reduce maintenance costs, enhance energy efficiency, and enable more dynamic architectural lighting designs. By prioritizing collaborations and sustainable innovations, GRE Alpha is positioning itself at the intersection of smart infrastructure and environmental responsibility, which could influence industry standards and consumer expectations in the coming years.
