As Dragon Con celebrates its 40th anniversary from September 3 to 7 in downtown Atlanta, Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Distillery is marking the occasion with two locally crafted products: Dragon Con Vodka and Dragon Con Apple Pie Craft Cider. The Marietta-based company returns as the Official Vodka of Dragon Con for the second consecutive year and introduces the apple pie cider as a new collaboration for 2026.
“We make everything in Marietta, so there's something special about welcoming Dragon Con fans with products made right here,” said Mark Deno, founder of Atlanta Distillery. “This partnership lets us share a little more of Atlanta with people coming from all over the world.”
The products will be available at key convention hotels and venues. At the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, guests can find them at the Lobby Market, seven Dragon Con-branded satellite bars, and Twenty-Two Storys Lobby Bar, where they can also try The 1986, a specialty cocktail made with Dragon Con Vodka. The Hilton Atlanta will feature both products at The MarketPlace, including a Dragon Con Bundle with a 750 mL bottle of vodka and four 8-ounce Filthy Bloody Mary pouches. Trader Vic's will host a tasting and promotion on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring a Dragon Con Vodka and Red Bull cocktail. At the Westin Peachtree Plaza, Bar 210 will serve cocktails and cider, with cider also available through room service. The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown will offer both products in its grab-and-go area, and Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery will feature the cider alongside a vodka-based specialty cocktail.
Beyond hotel bars, the collaboration extends to special events. Red Phone Booth will transform from red to blue for a Doctor Who-inspired experience, with programming across multiple venues including Amalfi, Peachtree Sporting Club, and American Dive. A collectible comic-book-style cocktail menu will highlight Dragon Con Vodka, Apple Pie Craft Cider, and Short Barrel's Dragon Con Whiskey. The Dragon Con Cigar Group Kickoff will take place Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Red Phone Booth, featuring specialty cocktails, giveaways, and swag. On Saturday, fans can enjoy a Dragon Con Parade Watch Party and Disco Breakfast in the Grand Ballroom from 9 a.m. to noon.
For those who want to take the experience home, both products are available at participating Atlanta-area retailers, including Peachtree Package Store, Sol's Liquor, Green's on Ponce, Publix at Piedmont, and Kroger on Ponce de Leon Avenue. Online ordering is available at DragonConSpirits.com through September 30, while supplies last.
The release of these commemorative products underscores the economic and cultural impact of Dragon Con, which draws tens of thousands of visitors to Atlanta each Labor Day weekend. For local businesses like Atlanta Distillery, the partnership provides a unique opportunity to showcase Atlanta-made goods to a global audience. “This is about welcoming fans with something authentic to our city,” Deno added. The collaboration also highlights the growing trend of craft distilleries and cideries partnering with major events to create exclusive, limited-edition offerings that enhance the attendee experience.
