Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE: GCC) (OTC: GCCFF) (WKN: A402CQ) (FSE: 3TZ) has announced an inaugural independent Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its 100%-owned Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property, located approximately 4 kilometres northeast of Hixon in central British Columbia. The MRE, prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101, reports 10 million tonnes at 0.56 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq) containing 178,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated category, plus 71 million tonnes at 0.44 g/t AuEq for 1.0 million ounces of gold in the Inferred category, using a base-case cut-off grade of 0.15 g/t AuEq. The estimate has an effective date of September 26, 2026, and was prepared by Sue Bird, P.Eng., of Bird Resource Consulting Corp., an independent Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101.
President and CEO Frank Callaghan stated, “This inaugural mineral resource estimate is a tremendous achievement for Golden Cariboo and validates the strength of the Halo discovery.” He noted that the resource was defined from only 24 of the Company’s 30 drill holes, totaling less than 8,500 metres of drilling. The Halo deposit occurs over a strike length of 1,150 metres and a width of about 420 metres and remains open in all directions. Importantly, the Main zone, which includes six Company drill holes plus historical surface drill holes, is not included in the MRE, nor are four other parallel geophysical and geochemical targets with multi-kilometre potential.
The Property benefits from excellent infrastructure, located only 4 kilometres from Hixon with year-round road access and an existing rail corridor. Major suppliers, contractors, and mining support services are accessible from Prince George and Quesnel, both approximately 45 minutes away. Callaghan added that this infrastructure “positions the project to efficiently advance exploration and development activities while maximizing opportunities for local employment, procurement, business growth, and long-term economic benefits throughout the Cariboo region.”
The MRE is based on a drill-hole database comprising 24 NQ-sized surface diamond drill holes totaling 8,466 metres, all completed by the Company. The estimate used 8,509 gold assays in 9,539 metres of drilling composites. The independent QP has verified the data, and quality assurance and quality control protocols included systematic insertion of certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicate samples. The mineral resource was estimated using inverse distance cubed into a block model with a parent block size of 10m x 10m x 10m. Detailed tables and figures are available: Table 1. Inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate for the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property at the Base Case cutoff - Effective Date September 26, 2026 and Click to see the figure which is a long-section through the center of the deposit, looking SW at Az=235o. The figure plots the composited and block Au grades for both the Halo and North Hixon zones of the deposit. The resource pit is shown in black with. A sensitivity analysis to cut-off grade is also provided in Table 2 is provided to illustrate the sensitivity of the estimate to cut-off grade. The base-case cut-off used for the Mineral Resource Statement is highlighted. Sensitivity cases do not constitute alternative Mineral Resource Statements.
The Company will file an independent NI 43-101 technical report supporting the MRE on SEDAR+ within 45 days. The MRE is not a preliminary economic assessment, pre-feasibility study, or feasibility study, and does not demonstrate economic viability. Mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability, and Inferred mineral resources have a lower level of confidence than Indicated resources. Known risks include the need for First Nations consultation with Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, permitting and environmental assessments, metallurgical testwork, and commodity price and exchange rate fluctuations.
Next steps include step-out and infill drilling at the Halo deposit to upgrade Inferred resources to Indicated, metallurgical testwork, environmental baseline studies, and further geological modelling. The Company’s land position covers approximately 96,183 hectares and is bordered by Osisko Gold Group’s Cariboo Gold Project. For more information, visit www.goldencariboo.com.
