PAR LED Lights has expanded its commercial LED retrofit portfolio with the HyLite LED Lotus Lamp LS-1830, a PAR38 LED lamp that packs 45 distinct lighting configurations into a single product. The announcement, aimed at the commercial lighting market, could simplify how businesses specify and stock replacement lamps while delivering significant energy and maintenance savings.
Unlike traditional PAR38 lamps, which require buyers to choose a fixed wattage, color temperature, and beam angle at purchase, the LS-1830 allows users to select among three wattage settings (18W, 25W, and 30W), five color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K), and three beam angles (25°, 40°, and 60°). That combination yields 45 possible configurations, enabling one lamp to serve applications ranging from tight accent lighting in retail stores to broad ambient illumination in offices, hotels, and restaurants.
The lamp delivers between 1,980 and 3,300 lumens and achieves up to 110 lumens per watt, positioning it as a replacement for 180W to 300W halogen lamps. PAR LED Lights states that qualifying installations can see energy savings of up to 90%, though actual savings depend on the lamp being replaced, operating hours, and installation conditions. With a rated life of 50,000 to 60,000 hours and a five-year manufacturer warranty, the LS-1830 also reduces relamping frequency in hard-to-reach fixtures and high-ceiling applications.
For lighting professionals and facility managers, the primary appeal may be inventory simplification. Instead of stocking multiple SKUs for different wattages, color temperatures, and beam spreads, a single LS-1830 can be adjusted on site to meet varying requirements. That flexibility is particularly valuable in commercial buildings where lighting needs differ from room to room or change over time.
The LS-1830 uses a standard E26 medium screw base and measures approximately 4.75 inches in diameter, making it compatible with many existing PAR38 fixtures. It operates on 100–277VAC universal input voltage and is designed to run directly from line voltage after any existing ballast is properly bypassed or removed. Typical applications include track lighting, recessed downlights, retail stores, art galleries, museums, hotels, restaurants, commercial showrooms, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and accent or display lighting.
Additional features include a color rendering index (CRI) above 90 for accurate color appearance—important for galleries, showrooms, and retail merchandise displays—as well as IP54 protection, 4kV surge protection, intelligent temperature control, a proprietary heat-sink design, and an optical-grade, UV-protected lens. The lamp is listed as 98% recyclable and contains no lead or mercury. It is designed for horizontal or vertical socket orientations and for use in enclosed fixtures, provided minimum space and thermal-management requirements are met.
PAR LED Lights plans to position the LS-1830 alongside its existing PAR56 and PAR64 LED retrofit solutions, giving customers a broader range of choices for upgrading directional and PAR lighting systems. The company provides LED PAR retrofit solutions for commercial, theatrical, worship, hospitality, retail, and architectural lighting applications.
