VYRAX Launches Core, a 2-in-1 Ab Roller and HIIT Trainer on Kickstarter

VYRAX, a sports and fitness research and development center, has announced the VYRAX Core, a training system that merges an ab roller with a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) platform. The company today unveiled VYRAX Core, a many-in-one training system designed to offer users greater variety in core workouts by integrating side supports that enable rapid transitions between two distinct modes.

The VYRAX Core addresses a common limitation of traditional ab rollers: the need for separate docking stations or cumbersome setup when switching between moving and stationary exercises. By building retractable side supports directly into the unit, VYRAX allows users to shift from Roller Mode to Interval Mode in just three seconds. In Roller Mode, the wheels contact the floor and roll as the user turns the handles, supporting controlled back-and-forth movements and “bear-crawl”-style rolls, with options to add suspended knee raises. An included wheeled foot support helps prevent the knees and toes from dragging during lower-body movements.

In Interval Mode, the deployed side supports lock the unit in place while the user cranks the handles. This setup accommodates high-intensity efforts alternated with recovery periods, as well as movements like mountain climbers and push-ups. Users can adjust pace, range of motion, and work-to-rest intervals to match their desired intensity. The system is constructed with a stainless-steel bar and supports, and VYRAX states a supported load of up to 650 pounds. The package includes the main unit (handlebar, wheels, and retractable legs), the foot support, and an Allen wrench for assembly.

VYRAX plans to introduce the VYRAX Core on Kickstarter in October 2026, marking the team’s first campaign on the crowdfunding platform. The development schedule targets production in December 2026, with rewards shipping to backers in February 2027. This timeline positions the product for availability in early 2027, assuming the campaign meets its goals and manufacturing stays on track.

The announcement matters for fitness enthusiasts and the home-exercise market because it reflects a growing trend toward multifunctional equipment that saves space and reduces the need for multiple devices. By combining core training with HIIT in a single portable unit, VYRAX Core could appeal to users who want efficient, full-body workouts without a gym membership. The use of stainless steel and a high load capacity also suggests durability, which may attract serious athletes. However, as a Kickstarter project, the product’s success depends on crowdfunding and timely delivery, so potential backers should weigh the risks typical of crowdfunded hardware. If successful, the VYRAX Core could influence how fitness companies design hybrid training tools, pushing competitors to create similarly integrated solutions. For now, VYRAX is positioning itself as an innovator in accessible, versatile exercise equipment.
